Summary
Dorothy waits as her second therapist ushers out a client, asks her to wait a moment and then closes the door, then a moment later re-opens it and asks her in. The narration describes the therapist as a small, bird-like woman always wrapped in a shawl, or a blanket, because she is cold. At first Dorothy talks about Alexandra, apologizing because that is not what she is there to really talk about but acknowledging that she is upset because of what just happened. The therapist understands, but then just as Dorothy is about to change the subject (lying about why she canceled her appointment with her first therapist – i.e., saying she had a headache), the therapist does it instead. She tells Dorothy that the podcast she has recently been recording, in which she speaks about her patients and their situations...
