Summary
Grace returned to the house and went to bed. She saw a glowing light coming from the kitchen and when she went to investigate it she saw that it was coming from the olive jar full of sea water. The next night, against her better judgement, she went back to the beach to meet Alberto at midnight. Alberto took Grace out to sea. On the boat, Grace received a message from her sister-in-law telling her the photograph she’d sent was of a plant that is known to be extinct. Alberto and Grace dived down to look at the seagrass. When they got near it, it started to glow, the way the water in the olive jar had glowed. The light came towards Grace and touched her and she felt herself transported to a different place: a beach...
