Summary

In Chapter 26, even though he felt like he was betraying his adoptive parents, William Lane made his mind up to try to locate his birth mother. All that he knows about her is that her name is Bronagh Skinner and that he was born in St. Bridget’s Sacred Heart Convent. She was twenty when he was born. She would be fifty-four if he was able to find her.

In Chapter 27, William talked to the lady who operated the bed and breakfast about his background over breakfast. He explained he had lived most of his life with his adoptive parents in American but was born in a convent in Ireland. When Mrs. Flanagan heard the name of the convent in which William was born, she warned him not to expect too much. She suggests that William’s mother was rejected by her family...
