Point of View
The novel is narrated from the point of view of Yami, the teenage protagonist of the novel. Yami is a unique and interesting narrator with a fascinating voice that is all her own. Her Mexican heritage, teenage vibrancy, and lesbian identity all combine together to create a fascinating character with a one-of-a-kind voice.
