Section 13, Pages 299 - 327 Summary
They climb back out of the passages, until the reach the initial cavern where Vusamanzi impresses on them the importance of remaining inside. He himself must return to his village before the searching soldiers become aware of him not being there, but promises that every two nights or so, the women will come to replenish their supplies. Again, reminding them of the importance of staying inside, he leaves. At first, it is entertaining, but for four such active people, the confinement without distraction soon wears thin. The topic of conversation often returns to the problem of uncovering the tomb, but there are no answers without diving equipment. Sarah begins teaching Sally-Anne Sindebele, and she is soon able to have rudimentary conversations in the language.
