Summary
In Chapter 4, “The One Great Love,” although Oliver’s hand is “numb from writing,” his memories of the incident weigh on him (57).
The morning after the agent meeting, Oliver walked his dog Edgar. He had lived alone since his wife Emily left and his daughter Kathryn stopped talking to him. Because they were estranged, Oliver was surprised to see a text from Kathryn about meeting up. Ruhaba also messaged him about getting coffee. Oliver agreed to see Kathryn, hoping she would let him back into her life. He had learned through Facebook that she was getting married.
