Summary
Roland writes a letter to someday be given to either Tina or Davidia or both. Roux assures Roland that no harm will come to him but warns him not to drop the mission, as he’d be hunted down. Roland feels the pressure of being tracked by people who would either imprison or murder him. He walks for hours in the rugged terrain of the jungle. He expects to see Michael at any time but doesn’t. He stops at a café in Darba where he passes out on a table. Roland follows a coffin maker who is going to Newada Mountain.
