Summary
Michael showed Spaulding his first two hundred dead bodies when Michael was only a young teenager. Roland met Spaulding in Afghanistan. Roland tells Michael that it’s already time to leave town.
At the pool, Michael is talking to a Euro, a white man. Roland learns that the man is the businessman that they’re in business with. Michael tells Roland that things are in motion and it is time for full disclosure. They meet in Michael’s room where Michael produces a package the size of a softball wrapped in yellow electrician’s tape. Roland picks it up; it is surprisingly heavy. Michael tears the package open and reveals a small lump of an odd-looking mineral; it is uranium but not the Russian U-235.
