Summary
Jonas introduces Lewyn to his Christian fraternity brothers in Chapter 15. They are fascinated by Lewyn’s Judaism. They ask to accompany him to a Passover Seder. Lewyn is wary of this plan but decides to bring them to one held at Cornell. The rabbi is female and progressive. She says that Seder should remind people of social activism. She advocates for women’s rights to abortion. Lewyn notices his new friends stiffen. One of the Christians, Jim, rises and asks to speak. The rabbi stiffly encourages him. He thanks the Jewish community for their hospitality and expresses his gratitude that he could join them on this day. His Christian friends stand with him and say a prayer.
