Summary
Ballard arrived back at the precinct and changed into one of her few staple professional suits. Jenkins was off this Friday so she would be working solo, which pleased Ballard since she would be able to claim the Ramone case. She easily convinced the vice cops to give the case up, then got her direct supervisor Lieutenant McAdams’ reluctant permission. Ballard found Ramone’s file and flipped through her arrest record, which went back three years and indicated she was homeless. She then began searching the department’s computer archive system for similar cases, hoping to find a perp with a similar M.O.
