Summary
Ballard left Jenkins dealing with the rowdy witness pool at the Dancers and returned to Hollywood Presbyterian, this time heading to the morgue. She asked to see Haddel’s body, and then surreptitiously scanned her fingerprint to unlock the iPhone from her locker. It held hundreds of photos of Haddel’s life, a text from someone Ballard assumed to be Haddel’s drug supplier, and Haddel’s parents’ home number. Ballard picked up Jenkins and drove to Haddel’s apartment. After searching the it for evidence, Ballard called the victim’s parents to inform them of their daughter’s death. Grief-stricken, Haddel’s father told Ballard that his daughter’s boyfriend had been a drug dealer.
Ballard and Jenkins returned to the station to write up reports of their shift and process evidence. Once there, Lieutenant Munroe asked her to process a witness...
