Summary
Nenneke announced that Geralt had a visitor, his friend, the poet Dandelion. Geralt told Dandelion he was having trouble getting work as times were changing and people were starting to protect and appreciate the creatures he usually hunted. Dandelion was surprised by Geralt’s low mood and told him he should move south to one of the wild countries where there were still monsters to hunt.
Geralt and Dandelion talk to the alderman in Upper Posada, asking if he required the services of a witcher. The townspeople assert that they do and told Geralt of the monsters that plagued them. As they leave the town Geralt explained to Dandelion that the monsters they had described did not exist.
