Summary

In Chapter 4, Anders returned to the gym where he worked after taking a week off. In response to the changed color of Anders' skin, his boss remarked, “I would have killed myself” (35). Anders remembered his boss behaving aggressively at a weightlifting competition. He noticed that some of the gym patrons were staring at him.
