Karate and Discipline
Charlie takes his karate lessons seriously. He is a black belt, and has attained the highest rank a person of his age is able to get. He owes his success in part to his Sensei Mike, who is his instructor and mentor. Karate has taught Charlie many valuable lessons that he uses on a day to day basis in his life, and that come to his aid when he is facing his darkest moments.
In day to day life, Charlie has learned control and respect through karate. He has learned that to avoid conflict is always better than to confront it, and if a conflict can't be avoided, less is more.
