The next morning Charlie is led out of jail in his orange prison jumpsuit. He had slept little and his dreams had been filled with snippets of the guards and their conversation outside his door. He is taken to a room where the deputy cuffs him to the table. A man comes in with a binder that has Charlie's name on it and he seems surprised that Charlie doesn't remember him. He introduces himself as Detective Rose, and tells Charlie he is the man who arrested Charlie for Alex's murder. Charlie insists he didn't kill Alex, but Detective Rose is less than sympathetic. Detective Rose tells him that they have evidence, witnesses, blood and a conviction that all say he did. He tries to explain...
