Point of View
The point of view of this novel is the third-person omniscient. The author uses multiple characters to tell his story, using the name of each character at the first of the chapter to alert the reader to who the narrating character will be in that chapter. In this way, the author is able to tell a story from several points of view, to give back ground information on the events in the novel and the characters, while also cluing the reader in to information that might not be available to the main characters but is important to the development of the plot.
