Chapters 35-37 and Epilogue Summary

In Chapter 35, after her mother and Jonah leave, Ronnie prays with Pastor Harris. After that they pray frequently together. Ronnie has her mother send her the stack of letters her father sent to her over the past three years and she finally reads them. As the weeks pass, Ronnie notices how fast her father is growing frail. However, he continues to go on walks each day and watching the progress of rebuilding Pastor Harris' church. The rebuilding effort had been stalled due to a lack of money, but recently a new benefactor has come forward. Ronnie sees Will's dad there one day and wonders if he is the source of the new money.
