Chapter 7, The Marriage of Ernie Levy Part 4 Summary
After their "marriage," and Ernie walks Golda back to her apartment, he returns to his apartment, sleeps deeply and awakens to find bits of Golda's hair. He is happy and all day at work thinks about their future. Ernie decides that they will live and love for as long as they can. Golda does not appear at his workplace by noon, and Ernie runs to her apartment. He sees the German notice on Golda's door.
