Summary

In Chapter 26, Ellie sets to work on her article. For the first time in recent months, she is focused and unrelenting. She calls in favors, pleads, and demands in order to get the information she needs. She laughs, cries, and then sleeps for a couple of hours, making sure to arrive at the office to catch Melissa early. Ellie says she cannot write the article about the love letters because the writer works at The Nation. Ellie reveals his name.
