Summary
Chapter 4 is set in November, a few weeks after Jennifer came home from the hospital. Mrs. Cordoza discovers Jennifer has most of the things from her closet scattered around the room and offers to help clean up. Jennifer says she is reorganizing so she she can find things better. She is actually looking for information about her past, attempting to reclaim her life that she does not remember. She is beginning to remember larger “chunks” of time, but she feels she does not belong in this life. Yvonne assured her everyone feels that way. The doctor said she will feel better in time. He prescribed pills to help. As she goes through her closet, she finds a romance novel she does not remember. She sets it aside, planning to decide later whether to read it or give it away.
