Littleport
Almost the entirety of The Last House Guest takes place in Littleport, a fictional town set to resemble the real town of Newport, Rhode Island. Littleport has become a town divided into two different classes, both financially and physically. Overlooking the downtown area are the rental properties belonging to the Loman family, as well as their own personal summer house, known as the Breakers. This house specifically functions as a dividing line between working-class and upper-class Littleport residents. As Avery says, Littleport is carved out of the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other and exists through pure stubbornness.
