Summary

In Chapter Seven, El and the other seniors began their final semester. All of their classes had ended, and they were now focused entirely on working out strategies in the gym through simulations that occasionally featured real monsters. Aadhya forged alliances with three other teams so that they could practice running through the weekly obstacle courses together. They invited an ostracized boy, Jowani, to join them, even though he did not give them any advantage because they did not want him to get left out of all alliances. The first day they ran the course, El turned the river into lava. They went to the library afterwards to discuss strategy.
