Summary

"Rock 'n' Roll Will Save Your Life" begins with the backstory of Dex. Dex had gotten into music because he wanted to attract girls. His musical ability was the perfect outlet for someone like him who was a misfit at school and at home. The six months before his arrival had not been enjoyable. The band had been on tour, but they were always fighting. For the first time in 21 years, playing music felt like a job. Dex had lost track of how much time he had spent on the island.
