Cafe Leila
Cafe Leila sits on Nesrin Street in Tehran. The cafe has been in the family for many generations and was started by a set of Russian immigrants who arrive in Iran in the hopes of establishing a comfortable life for their sons. Zod's parents, Yadik and Nina, learn how to cook and clean and serve many people every night. The building begins as a bright yellow building, a building that has withstood many events in the city of Tehran. Yadik builds a small home in the back of the restaurant for his family to sleep each night. Nina learns how to cook both Iranian and foreign delicacies, creating an interesting menu everyone in the area grows to love. Zod falls in love with cooking and he loves watching his mother cook in the kitchen. He shadows her closely and learns to love his mother through her cooking...
