Summary
Lily, Ferry, and Karim continue to grow strong in their friendship. Lily plans a birthday party for Ferry and invites her estranged family. The adults in the home disagree and believe it is inappropriate to hold a happy occasion in a house where Zod is dying. The girls bake a birthday cake in the kitchen, and Noor is pleased to see her daughter using the same cooking tools her grandmother had used years earlier. This prompts Noor to bring Zod down so he can watch, and help, her cook food in the kitchen. Zod is happy to watch his daughter cook in the family kitchen and regrets all of his younger years when impatience prevented him from cooking with Noor. The party is a success.
