Summary

In Chapter 22, Petra follows as Voxy “scurries” away. He looks like the rabbit from her dream, and she calls to him, just as she did in the dream. When she says they might be seen, Voxy begins citing the brave characters from Petra's stories. Petra realizes he has been listening every night. The man Petra calls Prawn asks if Nyla knows they are together. Voxy says, “Do you really think I would disobey the order of the Collective?” (191). The Prawn apologizes for the question. Voxy takes Petra to his room which is a closet in Nyla's room. He cannot find the book. When he tells Petra about the story, she realizes he was reading Javier's book.
