Summary
Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish begins her raw and introspective memoir by immediately confronting the most difficult parts of her childhood - she could not read until ninth grade, she spent her teenage years in foster care, and her mom "went nuts," forcing her to live with her grandmother (1). On top of these hardships, her elementary school peers also dubbed her with the nickname "Dirty Ass Unicorn," a term that picked fun at a wart Haddish had on her forehead (2).
