Chapter Nine Summary
For a long time they did not speak and they couldn't shed a tear. The Unicorn stamped the ground and shook his name. The Unicorn says there is no need of counsel and that the Ape's plans run much deeper than they thought and he has long been involved with the Tisroc. Upon finding the lion skin, he sent word to make ready for the taking of Cair Paravel and Narnia. The Unicorn believes it is now time to return to Stable Hill and proclaim the truth and take the adventure.
Tirian nods and says that the children should return to their own world because they have done what they were sent to do. Jill, however, says that they have done nothing and shivers not with fear, but because everything was so bad.
Tirian says that they did what they needed...
