Chapter Six Summary
Four hours later, Tirian lay down in one of the bunks to sleep and the two children were already snoring. He made them go to bed because he knew that they could not do without sleep and he had worn them out. He had made Jill practice her archery skills and she was able to shoot a non-talking rabbit, which they skinned, cleaned, and hanged up.
Tirian tried to teach Eustace how to use his sword and shield, which Eustace has learned quite a bit about from his earlier adventures, but that is with a straight Narnian sword, not a curved Caloremene scimitar, which makes for more difficult strokes. Eustace has a good eye and is quick on his feet. Tirian is surprised at the strength of both of the children and that they already seem to be more grown up...
