Summary
In Chapter 1, two unnamed girls discuss whether or not they'll be able to get away with something they're about to do. They say they will probably forget it wasn't the truth when they are old ladies.
In Chapter 2, a young woman named Veronika interviews her Aunt Connie about love and marriage. Aunt Connie tells her that marriage is a decision which must be worked at and not tossed aside as easily as some people seem to do now. Veronika also wants to know about the Munro baby mystery, which Aunt Connie is a part of, but Aunt Connie deflects and tells Veronika to go get a job.
In Chapter 3, Sophie Honeywell gets a call out of the blue from her ex-boyfriend, asking if she will meet him for a drink because his Aunt Connie has died and he needs to talk to Sophie...
