Summary

After a few days of recovery in Helen’s castle, Vera accidentally stumbles across a positive pregnancy test among Eve’s belongings. She realizes that Eve has either been inseminated by Lars or by the Iceman sample that she injected into her body without their mother’s knowledge. Vera urges Eve to call Lars, which she does, but Lars responds indifferently to the news that she is pregnant, and shares in Eve’s conviction that she would prefer to have the child aborted. Eve quickly realizes that they are trapped in Italy and are unlikely to be able to find an abortion provider there. The sisters decide to grit their way through the evening’s interactions with their absent mother and the predatory Helen.
