Summary
In Chapter 14, John Ingram arrived at court and found Arthur, who explained the emergency to the Prince (with the help of his friend Edward, the Prince’s young son). Taking Arthur with him, Sir John Chandos led a troop to the Chateau Norbelle, where they were just in time to defeat Clisson’s men as they were breaking through Gaston’s last defenses.
In Chapter 15, Eustace woke to learn about his rescue. Chandos informed him that the Prince was ready to clear his name, and that Clisson had escaped, but Sanchez had surrendered and confessed. Eustace explained how he had known about the plot against him, while Arthur kept his promise to Agnes by refusing to reveal his source of information. Arthur stayed at the castle to keep his uncle company.
Chapter 16 relates how, a few weeks later, the Prince welcomed Eustace back...
