Stella’s house, Palo Alto, California
Stella’s house is spacious and empty. She has minimal furniture aside from a grand piano which dominates her living space. She describes her kitchen as cold and clinical and her least favorite room in the house. Only Michael’s presence makes her able to enjoy it and make it seem warmer. Michael is surprised to find out she has lived here for five years due to the lack of furnishing. He tells her he likes it but that it needs some art and couches. Stella believes it has all it needs; her bed, high speed WiFi and a television. She relates to Michael that she spends a minimal amount of time in her house, working most of the time and is therefore not bothered by it’s barrenness.
