Parent's Passion/Influence
Through the characters of Leopold Mozart, Woferl Mozart, and Nannerl Mozart, the novel argues that a parent's passion can overflow into the lives of his children in positive and negative ways. The last name of the main characters of this novel is Mozart, and that name alone would prompt most readers to assume that music would be an important part of the story and of the characters' lives.
