Summary
The next chapter is titled “Hyacinth's Revenge.” Leopold becomes ill and is no longer able to set up performances and meetings, which means they are no longer earning money and must turn to their savings. They move out of the city, and Anna decides the children will not play music until Leopold recovers. One day, Woferl is working on a composition and he responds to Nannerl's questions, then takes her suggestion for a change. She sees this as the first step in mending their relationship. Nannerl resumes writing and Woferl begins talking to her more. One day, Sebastian draws a map of “the kingdom” to humor Woferl. Nannerl begins to think the Kingdom of Back and Hyacinth were only imaginary after all. She wonders if her relationship with Hyacinth has just ended, and if that means...
