Summary
The next chapter is titled “The Boy from Another World.” Nannerl accepts the voice as real at the time. That night, Woferl refuses to immediately sleep and begs for more of Nannerl's story. She says the kingdom is bigger than Austria, which Woferl finds incredible. They discuss what kind of creature would make a suitable guardian for the forest and decide on a faery princeling “capable of conducting the forest's symphony” (26). They are interrupted by a sound and then a light. The way from their room to the music room is lit by fireflies that are tiny faeries.
