Chapters 16-19 Summary
Chapter 16. Darwin arrives at the hangar where the ill-fated peace meeting took place. Darwin has arranged for a motorcycle gang he previously angered by writing a novel about them to join him there as backup. Darwin has promised the motorcycle gang that he will write another novel showing them in a better light if they will help him survive his meeting with Fuccini. At the same time, it turns out that Alfred, the FBI agent in charge of Rosina, is a double agent for the Fuccinis.
Chapter 17. Alfred drives Rosina to where Darwin is to meet Fuccini and uses her to force Darwin into the car so that he can meet Fuccini somewhere else. Darwin is startled by this change in plan, but before he can decide what to do next, the motorcycle gang members shoot out the car's tires and...
