Friendship
Friendship is a dominant theme found consistently throughout the novel "The Kill Order" by James Dashner. Friendship, both platonic and romantic, has to do with mutually shared affections, concern, compassion, reliance, loyalty, support, and camaraderie between individuals. Friendship appears in two distinct ways, that of platonic and romantic.
Platonic friendship occurs between all of the characters in the book, including Mark, Trina, Alec, Lana, Toad, Misty, and Darnell. This group of people, obviously from all walks of life, are brought together by the natural disaster of the sun flares, and they instantly come to be friends and rely on one another for survival. Their loyalty to one another is tested time and time again, especially during the viral epidemic that follows settling in North Carolina. The friends watch out for one another, share what they have, share laughter, and commiserate together. Their fraternity with one another...
