June: Chs. 9 - 11. Summary
In Chapter 9, Brooks is standing in front of the judge on a rainy Tuesday when she pleads guilty for drinking and driving. Her license is suspended for the rest of the year, she has to see a counselor for substance abuse, and pay a $300 fine. As she stands in front of the bench, all she can think of is the image of Dave and Jamie on the bed. Dave is elusive at school and Jamie doesn't have time to talk to her. She feels alone at school. However, now that she has taken out the Firebird everyone wants to drive it.
