Part Three, A Puzzle in a Puzzle: Chapters 45-52 Summary
Joanna and Alex fly to London and collapse into bed immediately upon their arrival at the hotel. Early the next morning, they are awakened by a furious pounding on the door. Joanna finds a letter has been pushed under the door. The letter is from Senator Chelgrin. Joanna and Alex take a taxi to a local museum, where Chelgrin has requested they come, paying the driver extra to lose their tail before arriving at their destination. Alex is a little uneasy when they are able to shake the tail easier than they should have. At the museum, a local man tells Alex and Joanna that they are to meet Chelgrin at his hotel room.
