Chapter 14 Summary
As Bill comes home, already there is a message from Teri on his answering machine. She tells him how great it was to make love to him, and how badly she wants to have Ronny's father's house.
The next morning, Ronny is still missing, and all eyes are on Bill. He is brought in for questioning by the FBI. They want to know all of the details of Bill's communications with Ronny, and are wondering where Bill is hiding Ronny. Bill suspects that this attention to him is even stronger because of the implications that Sam and Ed must have talked about. He imagines that Sam and Ed must want to go out of business in style, and are looking to make the paper look important by implicating Bill. Bill does not give any details to the FBI, but just repeats what everybody...
