Rope
The rope is a symbol of relationship and revenge. When Bannick attacks the victims on his list, he first hits them on the head, and then finishes killing them by strangling them with a piece of nylon rope. Bannick kills his victims by strangulation because each of them has done him some slight in the past that he believes has earned them a death sentence. When Bannick has to kill Dunwoody, Bannick notes to himself that Dunwoody does not deserve a rope. This indicates that Bannick only used the rope on people with whom he had a relationship and not people he did not know.
