Jerusalem

Jerusalem is the city in A.D. 70 that is graphically illustrated on page 488 in the text. Jerusalem is also called the City and is located in the province of Judea. The City is isolated by the deep valleys of Gehenna and Kidron that protect it on three sides. Walls were built along the curve of the ravines to enclose the area by the Hasmonaeans.
