Chapters 9 - 16 Summary

In Chapter 9, Callie is waiting at the stables for Easy. He shows up, and she is happy to see him. Easy explains he didn't attend the party because he was really tired. They make out, and Callie realizes the rumors about the breakup are false. They lay down, and Callie asks if Easy remembers her declaration of love when they were both in Spain. Easy doesn't say anything at first, but pulls away. Down the path emerges Ben, the old groundskeeper, who enjoys getting students in trouble. Easy promises to visit her after the dinner that night, and then the two part company.
