Chapter Nineteen: Meghan rushes to help Ash, but he warns her to stay back. The bug in him is in shock but regaining power. Meghan touches him anyway, and she feels the metallic glamour within him. She feels the opposite of normal glamour, which is made of emotion and passion. This glamour is logical, calculating, and impassive. Ash tells Meghan to run, just as his hands close around her neck. She fights to stay calm. In her mind, she can see the bug within Ash. Ash tells Puck to kill him, but Meghan tells him not to. She sends a command to the bug, telling it to let go.
