The Interestings are a group of friends who meet during a summer camp. The original group includes Ash and Goodman Wolf, Cathy Kiplinger, Jonah Bay, Ethan Figman, and Julie “Jules” Jacobson.

The Sandbox

The Sandbox is the play in which Jules gets the part of the grandmother during her time at Spirit-in-the-Woods. It is Jules’ shining moment as an actress.

Ash and Ethan’s Christmas Letter

Ash and Ethan send out letters outlining their family’s yearly activities each Christmas. Manny and Edie look forward to the letter because it shows them that at least two of their campers were successful in the arts. Jules, however, dreads this letter because it reminds her that she did not make a name for herself in an art related field.
