Julie “Jules” Jacobson-Boyd

Julie “Jules” Jacobson-Boyd is a girl from Underhill who attends Spirit-in-the-Woods on a scholarship the summer after her father’s death. She is invited to be a member of the Interestings, but she never feels that she is really a bona fide member of the group. During her first summer at the camp, a friendly and talented but ugly boy, Ethan Figman challenges her to try a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with him. Jules is never able to see Ethan as anything but a friend. Ethan makes a couple of passes at her later in their lives, both at times when his girlfriend/wife had broken up with him. Jules turns down both of these passes because his significant other is also her best friend.
