Summary

In Chapter Twenty-Two, Ash and Ethan, Jules and Dennis, and Jonah meet for dinner twice. In the spring, Ethan is dying. Jules goes to work with adolescent groups at a Child and Family Center in Manhattan. Ethan and Ash try an alternative therapy, but Ethan quits five days into the therapy. One day, Ash calls Jules to tell her that Ethan has had a heart attack and could not be revived.
