Part Two, Chapters Ten and Eleven

Chapter Ten opens with Ethan and Ash celebrating the signing of a one year contract for Figland. Ash has decided she wants to direct plays or works written by women. After a confrontation with her acting teacher, Jules decides to stop trying to act. She goes to school to get a degree in social work. Ethan and Ash have broken up only once in their relationship. This was because Ash had slept with another man after a college party. Ethan visits Jules in her dorm and tries to touch one of her nipples during a back rub. She pushes him off immediately.
