Luke Ellis

Luke Ellis is one of the main characters and one of the child heroes of this story. He is a 12-year-old boy with genius-level intelligence who also has mild telekinetic abilities. When he is very angry, frustrated, or concentrating hard, he can rattle dishes or cause pizza pans to fall off tables. Despite his intelligence, Luke is well adjusted. He and his parents are planning to move so he can attend college at MIT and Emerson. Although he is ready for college-level work, he knows he is not ready to be on his own.

Luke is kidnapped by Sigsby’s goons from the Institute because of his telekinetic abilities even though they are low level. Because he has a low level of BDNF, he is subjected to extra tests and shots by Hendricks. These tests cause Luke to develop telepathic abilities. Luke, however, lies to the people...
